Entry 22- 16/6/11

Today, I did my evaluation, I started with Self and wrote what I really thought of them. Then I already had Peer, so I typed out the client evaluation that was written up in my book. I had finished and was so happy.

Entry 21- 16/6/11

Today, I went to Ms. Risper's lab at 4pm to do my client evaluation. I waited for a long while, then it was our turn, and that is when we got really useful feedback ad noted it down so that we could type it out later on.

Entry 20- 15/6/11

Today we started with our Evaluation. We also had a separate piece of paper in which we were supposed to evaluate our group members. I finished this and set off to do my peer evaluation. I got Qaisara, Karishma and Brenda to do it for me, it was really quick and I had just enough time to save my work.

Entry 19- 10/6/11

Today we brought all the scenes and put them on movie maker. This would help us edit the scenes and put animations so that it is not rough. We put all the things with animations and then we wrote the moral of the story and the credits in which I was named the director, which I was. Then we gave in our work.

Enrty 18- 9/6/11

In the dorms at night, Rufayda, Christine and Karishma did the last scene where they made Elsie the mother and then it was complete. We had all the scenes.

Entry 17- 9/6/11

Today, we all came out after school and shot the video with a few people's help, like Karishma Savani held the camera for us because we needed somebody and Cynthia was absent. We shot all the scenes except the last scene, there wasn't enough time left, so we left it for later. This time we had somebad shots, but it was better than before and it was so much easier. I was so happy we had almost finished the video.

Entry 16- 8/6/11

Today, we did our front page through paint and made it all colourful, it was very pretty. Then we asked for permission to go and borrow a camera from the staffroom and shoot the video during class, we were allowed, so we went to carry on from where we had left off the previous time. We did the first scene, but till the and of the lesson, we still didn't get it and we gave up.

Entry 15- 27/6/11

We start in class to plan what everybody will bring on Monday and then we just kept on planning on what we would do on that day and not have any disasters, etc. But we all knew it would not be possible to just have a perfect take, like before, we had experienced it, but we didn't want to believe it.

Entry 14- 26/5/11

Today we go to get the camera and do the practice, but with every take we took, something or the other went wrong and we didn't do it properly, sometimes the voice was too low, sometimes it was shaky or we forgot to switch on the record button, so it was very frustrating. I wish we could have done it properly, but time was up and we still had nothing.

Entry 13- 25/6/11

Today we only met for a meeting and just discussed what we had to bring the next day and who will be the camera person etc. That was really all for the day. I had to bring a Hijab and make a poster of MAD NITE this would be required for the play.

Entry 12- 20/5/11

Today, two of our team mates were missing and only me and Rufayda were there to do the justification. At first, I was waiting for Rufayda to finish what she was doing. Then we started with our justification. In our justification we chose what we wanted to do and because we didn't finish because of lack of time, Rufayda finished it at breaktime that day. I think that our justification is appropriate and nice.

Entry 11- 19/5/11

Today, I finished my design. I described the rest of the two frames, scene 4 and credits. I described both of them, and then for credits I wrote all the things that had to be involved, e.g. producer, etc. Then I wrote the meanings. I had finished my design and it was fine, I didn't like it but it was OK. Tomorrow our group had to chose a design and justify why.

Entry 10- 18/5/11

Today, in class I got a chance to check my plan. I saw that the whole storyline was already there. Then I heard Ms. Risper say that we couldn't draw, we had to write a description of what was supposed to be there. That is what I did in the frames and then instead of writing the description in the description section, I wrote the meaning and the purpose of it. I only managed to do three scenes. Then it was time for the next class. I learnt that you don't have to draw every single thing, some time, even for storyboards, you can describe. This lesson was OK.

Entry 9- 17/5/11

Today, I had to start my design at home. I started by drawing the frames and the areas in which I could write in. Then I did only the first frame for title. I got a nice title- The Beginning of the End. this means that wen the girl comes to the school it is as if she has been born, and when she is being mocked, she is dying, it is the end for her. I used a lot of color as I imagined how it would look. Then I did a nice fancy design to make it look appealing. But I only did the title because my final plan was on the students file and I didn't know what scene was supposed to be shown. So I only did that and then left it for class.

Entry 8- 5/5/11

Today I finished my reasearch. I asked some of my group mates to send me links from where i could do my work and I found a few links myself. I got all the information altogether. Some og the things weren't even relevant, but I thought that it might help in the understandng if I do put it, so I included it in the investigation. I learnt a lot from the information. I learnt about the portugese and what mombasa's real arabic name is. It is quite interesting knowing about these things.

Entry 7- 4/5/11

Today, we had to continue with our criterion A. I found out that my design specification was not correct, so I did it agin. This is what I did in the whole class. I learnt how to write a good design specification, and I think it was good.

Entry 6- 24/4/11

Today I did the testing, after asking a few people if they would test my work for me, I asked them on the phone because we are away on holiday. Each of them agreed so today I wrote they're names down for the different things. today i didn't do much and it only took me approximately ten minutes to do the testings.

Entry 5- 23/4/11

Today, I finished my design brief and started my design specification. In my plan for 20/4/11, it was written that I would do research, and for today it was written that I would do my design specification, that is the reason why I did my design specification first and then the next time I will do my research. It took a little time to do the design specification, but I still did it in those two columns, specifications and testings. I have never done a design specification for a video, so there were a few new things, that is why it took a little longer. I hadn't asked people to test my work, so that bit of work was still left, I couldn't just write the names without asking and so I didn't do the testings column. This session was fun, but I know that it will be a lot more fun when we actually act for the video.

Entry 4- 20/4/11

Today we had to do our Criterion A investigation. In my plan it was written that I should do the problem identification and design brief on Monday the 18/4/11, but instead I did it today because on Monday I had no time. My problem identification was quite long and i used my time effectively. My group and I decided that we should all use the same problems. So then we discussed the problems like bullying, etc. then I typed my problem identification. I had five minutes to do my design brief, but it was too little. I had to answer the three questions: what I'm making, who I'm making it for and how i will make it. I only managed to answer the first question, there was not enough time.

Entry 3- 15/4/11

This lesson was the time where we got to plan our Criterion B and D. The people in my group got a story board, but then we decided that we should each get our own because for the design we were supposed to have different storyboards. So in our plans we included some of the story, but not entirely the whole plot, it was just a summary. We finished our plans on time and handed it in through a folder called students.

Entry 2- 14/4/11

I was at home this time doing my plan, I did a plan for Criterion A and E. I didn't do B and D because we hadn't planned with the group and I needed to do so. I thought about the dates and the times that I would need to investigate and evaluate. Never before have we planned for them. We always only plan for create stage, but this time, it was the whole unit. This got a little long, but I still did it and overcame all my problems. This was boring and long but it was still very important to do.

Entry 1- 13/4/11

My group members are Rufayda, Christine and Cynthia. Today we were dicussing who in our group will play a certain role. Christine will be the director. Then Cynthia will bring the camera and me and Rufayda will be the producers. Then we will all play a role in the video, i will be the Arab girl and the rest will be the popular plastics and they will tease me. but we will have to get more actors, we'll organize that later. that was all for today
